The cabinet is decorated in English yew tree veneers and inlaid with black edge line. The case features a scroll pediment mounted on pillars. The glazed trunk door reveals the swing of the pendulum and the gradual drop of the weights. The plinth is mounted on fine ogee feet. The eight-day Westminster chime movement has a chime silencer and an automatic night silencer. The pendulum has an automatic beat setting. The dial is solid brass with a silver finish chapter ring.
