Here is an old fashioned and very effective way to hold open a door. An ordinary house brick enclosed inside a hand made needlework cover which is neatly fastened underneath with velcro. The velvet will help the doorstop grip the carpet. In order to ensure that your brick does not snag the needlework, we suggest that you wrap the brick in towelling or similar fabric before inserting in the cover.
